Have you ever read a rom com book and thought to yourself "man these characters are just so adorable, I wish I could meet them in real life." Well, ladies and gentleman, meet Leslie + Clyde, the ones who fell in love one summer and never looked back! They are the rom com characters everybody loves and what makes it even better is that they are the sweetest, most intentional humans you have ever met!
These two met on the beautiful island of Nantucket in summer of 2020. Funny enough, neither of them were actually wanting to go to Nantucket that year, but for some reason, they both said yes. Leslie was a live-in nanny, and had a few days off during the week. During this time, she thought, "what better way to explore a new place than getting a dating app and meeting a guy or two to hangout with along the way?" Then, Clyde and Leslie matched on Hinge, and from the moment she met him she knew she didn't want to go on another date with anyone else. They hung out every day she had off that Summer, and she says that it was the most unforgettable, fun, and loving season of her life. They knew in their hearts that they were meant to be together, and they can't wait to tell these stories and memories to their future kids and grandkids one day!
This love story is one that we adore, cherish, and admire! When you meet Leslie + Clyde, you can feel the love in the room. They're the kind of people that make you feel loved just by the way they love each other. Having the opportunity to plan their special day was the biggest joy and honor for our team, and we are so excited to share all of the details with you!
Leslie + Clyde tied the knot at the one and only breathtaking venue of Vintage Villas in Lakeway, Texas. This space is one that truly fits all of your needs in one! Your ceremony space can happen in front of Lake Travis with a gorgeous sunset in the back, and your after party can take place in their modern spacious reception area. When we asked the couple why they chose this venue and city, they said "we wanted to choose Austin due to the gorgeous outdoor venue options and fun city life downtown! It was so important that our guests left thinking it was the best weekend along with us. We wanted a lakeside venue, so that’s how we ended up with Vintage Villas and we loved it!"
We loved transforming this space into one that fit the vibe Leslie + Clyde were going for, and loved seeing all of the details and visions become reality! From the beautiful florals, to the modern rentals, to the timeless color scheme, the details of this day came together in a way that we will remember forever.
One of our favorite parts of the day was this unique, elegant floral board where each guest grabbed their own escort to find their table. Mountain Laurel Floral made sure that every flower on the board was unique and unlike the rest, and each guest got to grab their own flower, tied off with an escort tag from Pink Champagne Designs, as they went into the reception space for dinner. We know that sometimes seating charts can be stressful, but this is a way to make it fun, special, and an experience for your guests that they will hold onto!
This reception was one to remember! The dessert table and champagne tower both made for such sweet moments, and super cute and timeless photos to hold onto. Leslie had an outfit change that left everyone in awe, and Intensity Bands made the dance floor the place to be, with all of the guests wearing fun with cowboy hats and glow sticks to add a special touch! This party was kicked off with a pre-dance party firework show that was a surprise to the guests that started off the night in the best way!
These two closed out the night with one of our personal favs, Whataburger! This was their late night snack for their guests, but also for them! As they were on the way to their hotel, they were able to talk about their favorite parts of the day while eating one of their favorite meals. We loved this addition to their big day, and would recommend it to other fellow Whataburger lovers like ourselves :) (Pro-tip, Whataburger prides themselves with What-a-Weddings and always serves their food (hand delivered) hot, fresh and in adorable display boxes. They are our favorite fast-food restaurant to work with when providing late-night snacks.)
As their wedding planning came to a close, we asked the couple "What was something you wish you could tell other couples while they plan their wedding?" they answered, "Take a deep breath & hire a good planner! It is truly the greatest investment we ever made because it made the process SO much easier than I could’ve imagined. Sure it was overwhelming at times- but I felt like I wasn’t in it alone! Benevo Events did such an amazing job integrating every detail to flow so smoothly!"
This is why we do what we do, to make people's weddings day as easy and seamless as possible, while providing them with all of the love and encouragement along the way. You are not in it alone, and shouldn't have to be! Walking alongside you through all of the decisions, stress, and questions is our favorite thing to do. We are so honored and humbled that these two trusted us with one of the biggest days of their lives, and can't wait to cheer them on throughout all that life brings their way!
